the cabin was built in the summer of 1978 by steven’s grandparents, bill and evelyn McGovern. For 30 years they would build a home, cultivate the land, and learn the joys and pitfalls of a life on the edge.

after bill’s passing, the cabin moved out of the family and into new hands. for the next 7 years it was in their care until a devastating fire passed through in late summer of 2015. thats when we decided to make the McGvoern Residence our own and share it again with family and friends, both old & new.
